OK guys, the menu for our next group hands-on cooking class in NYC on Saturday, October 8th is finalized! And happy to say that cooking alongside of me is friend and chef Kisha Figueroa.
Together We will Prepare: Latin Menu
Sofrito = a soulful "mirepoix" for most spanish dishes
Yellow Rice w Pigeon Peas = basically a spin on "Arroz con Gondules"
Stewed chicken aka "pollo guisao"
Puerto Rican Pork Shoulder aka "pernil"
Platanos con Ajo Garlic = fried plantains w garlic
String Beans con Ajo
Tres Leches Cake w Whipped Cream = Light Sponge Cake Infused with 3 Milks
Cost: 2 for $150 or $85 each (includes a glass of wine/sangria with dinner)
Time: 6:30pm Date: Saturday, October 8, 2011
